You save articles, videos and books related to an idea. The collection grows much faster than the project. Opening it now presents another decision about what to read, and the original work waits while you organise the resources.
Choose the question you need to answer next. Pick one resource that appears likely to answer it and note the relevant section. Move other material into a reference folder that does not sit among today's tasks.
Use the resource in the work
After reading, apply the information to a draft, exercise or decision. Record any remaining question. If the resource does not help, choose another one for that specific gap rather than continuing through the whole saved collection.
Review the active list when the project moves to a new stage. Some resources may now be relevant and others can stay archived. You can keep a broad collection for interest while giving the current project a much smaller set of references that you expect to use during the next session.
