You enjoy practising familiar material and repeatedly skip the exercise that feels awkward. The session is pleasant, but the same gap keeps appearing when you try something new.
Identify the part you avoid and make one limited attempt. Use guidance appropriate to the skill, especially where mistakes could cause injury or damage. Choose an exercise that isolates the difficulty without requiring you to perform the entire task perfectly.
Keep useful feedback
Write down what happened in terms you can act on. The timing was unclear, the instruction was confusing or a step required knowledge you do not yet have. Ask a teacher or another suitable person about that point if needed.
Return to familiar material afterwards if you want. You can include a small amount of difficult practice without making every session exhausting. Review whether the exercise is at a suitable level before increasing it. Sometimes the avoided part needs a simpler prerequisite, and repeating the same unsuccessful attempt will not answer that missing question.
