Losing something you use daily creates pressure to replace it immediately. A hurried purchase can happen before you have checked the last few places it was used.

Write a short search route based on those places. Contact a relevant lost-property service through its official channel. For a device or card with security implications, follow the appropriate provider's guidance promptly instead of delaying protection while you search.

Set the replacement point

Decide how long you can reasonably manage without the item and whether borrowing something temporarily is practical. That gives the search a limit without forcing an immediate purchase when waiting is possible.

If you replace it, choose according to the need you have now. You may not need the same model or specification. Keep the new receipt and change the storage routine if that would reduce another loss. If the original later turns up, decide deliberately what to do with the duplicate rather than leaving both in circulation without a clear place.
