You finish the planned exercise and drift into browsing related material. The session expands until you leave hurriedly, without saving where you stopped.
Choose a simple ending: save the work, record the next action and put away what needs storing. Use it when the planned session ends, even if you could keep exploring.
Make extra work a fresh choice
If you want to continue, decide what the additional period is for. That prevents an optional detour from silently extending the original commitment. Keep any later appointment or household responsibility in view.
Try the ending for a few sessions and note whether your return is easier. You can adapt it to the activity: a bookmark for reading, a labelled draft for writing or a clear tool storage step for making something. Avoid building a long ceremony that competes with the practice. The ending only needs to preserve the work and make its next use straightforward.
