You watch several tutorials about the same skill and recognise the terminology. When you try the exercise, you still do not know where to start.
Choose one example at a suitable level and work through it. Pause to attempt the steps yourself, following any necessary safety guidance. Note the point where your attempt differs or stops making sense.
Ask a narrow question
Return to the relevant section or ask someone who can help with that particular difficulty. A question about one step is easier to answer than a general request to explain the whole subject again.
Try the example once more after clarifying it, then choose a small variation if you are ready. Keep useful notes alongside the exercise instead of adding every tutorial to a growing folder. You can look for another explanation when the current one does not answer your question. The important test is whether you can use the information on a task, including recognising the parts you still need to learn.
