Moving tasks between columns can feel satisfying even when none of them moves closer to completion. A new label offers a visible change without requiring the awkward email or unfinished draft underneath it.
Open your current list and choose one task you can work on today. Write its next physical action: open the form, find the invoice or draft the request. Use the system you already have for that session.
Note the actual obstacle
If you cannot find what matters, make a small structural fix that answers that problem. A due-date field may help when deadlines are hidden. Another decorative category probably will not. Record what was difficult before deciding that a whole new application is needed.
At the end of the session, update the task's status and leave the next action visible. Review the system after you have used it for real work a few times. You will then have specific evidence about what helps you choose, start and finish, instead of judging the list mainly by how orderly it looks.
